How to overcome mental stress

Are you feeling low and stressed and lacking enthusiasm in whatever you do?
Have you thought of what may be causing it.

My advice is to move to a different part of your house to a quiet corner, sit in a
comfortable chair and just close your eyes and relax.

Think of the happy moments or occasions in your life when you celebrated
anniversaries, birthday parties, family get-togethers or a bumper order in your
business, or your last big promotion etc.

Looking at the past is not enough. Looking forward (to the future) is more
important. Think of any forthcoming celebrations, your potential new clients,
starting a new relationship, and assure yourself that all these are going in the
right direction and how happy you will be.

Thirdly examine your current eating habits. Are you snacking all day and
perhaps eating too many chocolates or crisps. Think of how physically fit you
were, before the lockdown started. Of the healthy food you ate and when you
were bursting with energy.

Fourthly, get up from your work chair, put on your favourite music and do your
favourite dance or physio for 2 or 3 minutes. Do this 4 or 5 times a day. This
will break the monotony of daily routine and pump in adrenaline to your heart
and limbs, leaving you with a burst of energy every time.

Lastly think of how you can help others who are less fortunate than you. Just a
friendly chat or advice to a friend , family member or colleague, will go a long
way and say you are there for them. The love you share will make you feel
fulfilled and happy within yourself. By being genuine and caring from your
inside and going out will raise your spirits and energy level.
